Richard Korff

Richard Korff is the founder of SolidModels, a Singapore-based consultancy for start-ups and small businesses. With more than 14 years in Fuji Xerox and Hewlett Packard as a Solution Architect, Richard has built large financial models for a significant number of projects, to obtain clarity on cost and revenue structures.

He believes that entrepreneurs should benefit from the same power of financial modelling to achieve strong financial sustainability.  Richard has always believed that starting a new job or venture, should start with understanding the underlying numbers, and then build a model of that business.

  • What cost items are impacting the bottom line?

  • What drives these cost items?

  • What are the revenue streams?

  • What are the dependencies?

Applying What-If scenarios and Break-Even analysis on these models can give enormous insights in the potential as well as the limits of the business. These insights are especially important when talking to potential investors, who would want to understand the underlying financials and evaluating best- and worst-case scenarios.

Besides consulting, Richard is also a co-organizer of community platforms like TEDxSingapore and Creative Mornings where he contributes with his passion for technology and A/V related matters.
